Inventory, created in 2018, considers the expectations of home. In this work I take inventory of the dollhouse furniture, examining each piece individually and noting how it moves, the craftsmanship, and any imperfections. Each object is presented with even weight. Within the images of the dollhouse furniture I also insert some furniture pieces that are life-size, reinforcing the inability of the viewers to make assumptions about what they are looking at. Inventory allows me to take stock of all my preconceived notions of the building blocks required to make my own home.
